Foolproof dinner rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- flour
- eggs, well beaten - 3 item
- cake yeast - 1 item
- shortening, melted with 1 tsp - 1/2 c
How to make foolproof dinner rolls:
Mix eggs, yeast mixture and shortening mixture. Combine all dry ingredients. Mix until smooth mixture develops. Place dough in oiled pan and cover with cloth. Set in warm place to rise, about 2 hours. Cut dough in half and roll out on floured board to 1-inch thickness and cut in pie shapes. Roll up from large end to point and curve into crescent shape. Cover with dry cloth and set aside in warm place until doubled in size. Bake at 400° for 5 to 7 minutes and lightly brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
