Ingredients/Components
- cup warm water - 1 item
- tsp sugar - 1 item
- yeast - 1 pkg
- cup Olive oil - 1/4 item
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- cups flour - 3 item
- green onions - 1 item
- In mixer: mix together olive oil and salt; add yeast mixture; add 3 cups flour
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- Olive oil - 1/4 cup
- Shakes Lawrys Garlic Salt - 5 item
- parsley - 3 Tbsp
- cloves crushed garlic
How to make focaccia:
Mix water, sugar, and yeast; let yeast dissolve. In mixer: mix together olive oil and salt; add yeast mixture; add 3 cups flour.Remove and knead until soft (approximately 1 minute). Set in oiled bowl (in a warm place) until double (1 to 2 hours).
Generously oil jelly roll pan with olive oil.
Dough: Oil counter top and roll out to the size of the jelly roll pan. Put in the pan (doesn't need to fit exactly). Let rise again until dough puffs a little (20 to 30 minutes). Using a spaghetti server, poke holes in dough while gently pushing to edges. Brush lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with pepper. Spread sauce over dough and sprinkle chopped green onions on top.
Cook approx. 16 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
Remove from pans immediately onto cooling rack.Sauce:1 1/2 can Contadina "Italian Style Tomato Paste with Italian Seasonings"1/2 tsp. oregano1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp. Olive oil5 Shakes Lawrys Garlic Salt3 Tbsp. parsley3 lg. cloves crushed garlic Mix together in a small cereal type bowl.
