  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • large container Cool Whip - 1 item
  • cherry jello
  • cottage cheese - 12 oz
  • large can crushed pineapple with juice - 1 item

How to make fluffy cherry salad:

Mix jello, sugar and pineapple in saucepan; cook until pineapple turns red. Cool. Fold in cottage cheese, nuts and Cool Whip. Put in 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish and congeal. Cut in 3-inch squares and serve on lettuce leaf.
