Ingredients/Components
- salt
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- hot water
- flour Martha White suggested - 4 c
How to make flour tortillas:
Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in shortening. Add water slowly while kneading until soft dough is formed. Divide dough into 12 to 14 balls. Roll out each on a lightly floured board to form a 6-inch circle. Bake on ungreased griddle until lightly browned on each side.
