Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • ice cubes - 1 item
  • ginger ale - 1 qt
  • cans frozen orange juice - 3 oz
  • can frozen lemon juice - 1 oz
  • orange, sliced thin - 1 item
  • lemon or orange sherbet - 1 pt
  • bottle maraschino cherries and juice - 1 oz
  • sparkling water or white grape juice - 1 qt

How to make floating island punch:

Heat sugar and water until sugar dissolves; cool. Combine fruit juices, ginger ale, sparkling water and fruit. Add syrup; pour into punch bowl. Add ice cubes. Drop in sherbet by spoonful or in balls, using an ice cream dipper. Makes 20 to 25 servings.
