Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 item
- tapioca - 2 Tbsp
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- can water - 1/2 item
- sliced carrots - 3 c
- celery - 1 c
- diced potatoes - 3 c
- lean stew meat - 1 lb
How to make five hour stew:
Place stew meat in bottom of pan. Add layers of onion, carrots, potatoes and celery. Sprinkle tapioca, sugar, salt and pepper on top. Spread soup over top. Pour water down sides. Do not stir! Bake at 225° for 5 hours or on high in crock-pot for 4 1/2 hours and low for 1/2 hour. Stir and serve.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Main dish, One Dish meal.
