Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- eggs, well beaten - 5 item
- sticks oleo - 2 item
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
- rum extract - 1 tsp
- coconut extract - 1 tsp
- butter extract - 1 tsp
- Add sugar
- each extract: coconut, rum, butter, lemon and vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make five flavor pound cake:
Cream butter and shortening. Add sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add beaten eggs. Mix flour and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Add flavorings. Spoon into greased and floured pan. Makes 1 large tube or 2 small Bundt pans. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done.Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 c. water1 tsp. each extract: coconut, rum, butter, lemon and vanilla Mix in saucepan and bring to boil.
