  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • ketchup
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • black pepper - 1/3 tsp
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • red pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • cups water - 2 item
  • -4 slices fat back - 3 item
  • medium fish - 5 item

How to make fish stew:

Fry fat back to obtain drippings. Cook onion until soft in hot grease. Mix water, ketchup, sugar and pepper in a sauce pan. Add onion and bring mixture to a boil for about 10 minutes. Add fish and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve over rice.
