Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- onions, sliced - 5 lb
- red pepper to taste - 1 item
- bacon - 1/2 lb
- Irish potatoes, sliced - 5 lb
- smoked sausage optional - 1 lb
- rock fish - 5 lb
- can tomato paste optional - 1 item
How to make fish stew:
Fry bacon in bottom of 10-quart pot. Add fish, potatoes, and onions in alternating layers. Add tomato paste and sausage if desired. Add seasonings. Cover with water and cook 45 minutes or until tender. Serve with cornbread or loaf bread.Recipe categories: Main dish, Fish, Stew.
