Ingredients/Components

  • boiling water - 2 c
  • paprika - 1/4 tsp
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • white pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • white wine - 1/2 c
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • stalks celery, chopped - 2 item
  • thyme - 1/4 tsp
  • tarragon - 1/8 tsp
  • sliced cooked carrots - 1 c
  • beef bacon or imitation bacon, cut in small pieces - 1/4 lb
  • can whole kernel corn or frozen corn - 1 oz
  • frozen fish - 2 lb

How to make fish chowder:

Cook bacon. Add celery, onion and garlic. Saute for 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, except salt. Cover and cook in large pot until fish flakes easily. Salt to taste.
