Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- chopped fresh parsley - 1 2
- mashed potatoes - 8 oz
- seasoned flour - 1 oz
- seasoning - 1 item
- shortening or oil - 2 3
- poached or steamed white fish - 8 oz
- crisp bread crumbs - 3 4
How to make fish cakes:
Flake fish with fork. Add potatoes, egg, parsley and seasoning. Mix well. Divide into 8 round cakes. Coat in seasoned flour, then in egg, then in bread crumbs. Heat fat and fry fish cakes 2 to 3 minutes each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Garnish with lemon and parsley.Recipe categories: Main dish, Fish, Seafood.
