Fire and ice tomatoes
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- cider vinegar - 3/4 c
- plus 2 tsp - 1 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1/8 tsp
- celery salt
- cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
- mustard seed
- medium onion, sliced - 1 item
- medium green pepper, cut into strips - 1 item
- large cucumber, peeled and sliced - 1 item
- medium tomatoes, peeled and quartered - 6 item
How to make fire and ice tomatoes:
Combine vegetables in a large bowl and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil 1 minute. Pour mixture over vegetables. Cover and chill 8 hours. Serve with a slotted spoon. Yield: 10 servings.Gather the crumbs of happiness and they will make you a loaf of contentment.
