Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- butter - 1 c
- baking powder - 5 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- cherry pie filling - 1 item
How to make filled cookies:
Put all dry ingredients into a large bowl. Add butter and shortening. Mix with pastry blender. Add eggs and flavoring. If too dry, add milk. Roll and cut with a doughnut cutter cutting a hole in the top layer only.Place 1 solid cookie on cookie sheet. Put 1 teaspoon filling, then cover with second cookie (hole in this one). Pinch a little bit to seal around edges. Repeat. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes until browned. Makes 6 dozen cookies.
