Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- corn syrup - 1 tsp
- plain flour - 2 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- salad oil - 1 c
- fig preserves - 1 c
How to make fig preserves cake:
Topping:1 c. sugar1 stick butter1 tsp. vanilla1 tsp. corn syrup1/2 c. buttermilk Sift together first 6 ingredients. Add oil, eggs, 1 cup buttermilk, preserves and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.Topping: In medium pot add sugar, butter, vanilla, corn syrup and buttermilk. Boil for 3 minutes. Make holes in cake and pour topping over.
