  • fig preserves - 1 c
  • While cake is still hot, prepare icing

How to make fig cake:

Bake in sheet cake pan. While cake is still hot, prepare icing.Icing:1 stick margarine1 c. sugar1/2 c. buttermilk1/2 tsp. soda Boil 3 minutes and pour over cake while hot.
