Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • oil - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • plain flour - 2 c
  • crushed figs canned or fresh - 1 c

How to make fig cake:

Beat sugar and eggs together. Add oil and beat again. In another bowl, mix dry ingredients well. Put 1/2 dry mixture into egg, oil and sugar mixture. Next, add 1 cup figs and mix well. Add last of dry mixture. Add pecans and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Bake in tube or Bundt pan at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
