Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- oil - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- plain flour - 2 c
- crushed figs canned or fresh - 1 c
How to make fig cake:
Beat sugar and eggs together. Add oil and beat again. In another bowl, mix dry ingredients well. Put 1/2 dry mixture into egg, oil and sugar mixture. Next, add 1 cup figs and mix well. Add last of dry mixture. Add pecans and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Bake in tube or Bundt pan at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Southern u.s..
