Fiesta casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- water - 1/4 c
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- chopped green pepper - 1 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- hamburger - 1 lb
- crushed red pepper - 1/8 tsp
- can whole kernel corn - 1 item
- garlic - 1/2 tsp
- can Durkee fried onions - 1 item
How to make fiesta casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. In large skillet, brown beef; drain. Add green pepper and cook until tender. Stir in tomato sauce, water, corn and seasonings; add 1/2 can onions. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until heated through. Spoon beef mixture into greased 8 x 12-inch baking dish. Cut biscuits in half; arrange so cut edges face side of dish and ends overlap. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are done. Top with cheese and remaining onions. Bake 5 minutes more or until cheese is melted.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
