Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- butter 1 stick - 1/4 c
- fettuccine noodles - 12 oz
- egg yolk, slightly beaten - 1 item
- Parmesan cheese, freshly grated - 3/4 c
- heavy cream 1/2 pt - 1 c
How to make fettuccine alfredo:
Cook noodles as directed on package. While noodles are cooking, heat butter over double boiler until melted. Stir in beaten egg yolk, cream, grated cheese and salt. Heat, stirring with whisk occasionally, until smooth. Drain noodles; toss with cream mixture until evenly coated.
