Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 7 c
  • egg yolks - 12 item
  • melted butter - 1/2 c
  • heavy cream
  • egg whites - 3 item
  • lemon extract - 1 tsp
  • brandy - 2 Tbsp
  • ground cardamon - 1 tsp
  • confectioners sugar to sprinkle - 1 item

How to make fattigman:

Beat egg yolks, whites, salt and sugar together for 1/2 hour. Add cream and cardamon; stir well. Add butter, extract and brandy; blend well. Mix in flour thoroughly. Dough should be stiff enough to roll out very thin. Refrigerate overnight. Roll small amounts of dough very thin. Cut into rectangles. Shape into bows. Deep fry at 365° until golden brown.
