Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • water - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • egg whites - 4 item
  • unsweetened cocoa - 1/2 c
  • corn starch - 1/4 c
  • corn syrup light or dark - 1/2 c

How to make fat-free chocolate cake:

Preheat oven to 350°. Spray 9-inch square baking pan with a nonstick spray. In a large mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients until well mixed. In a separate small bowl, whisk egg whites, water and corn syrup. Add to dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Pour into prepared baking pan; bake 30 minutes. Cake is done when it springs back when lightly touched.
