Fancy egg scramble
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter or margarine, melted - 4 tsp
- beaten eggs - 12 item
- paprika - 1/8 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- soft bread crumbs
- 4 oz - 1 c
- chopped green onion - 1/4 c
- can mushroom stems and pieces, drained - 1 oz
- recipe Cheese Sauce - 1 item
- Add eggs and scramble just until set
How to make fancy egg scramble:
In large skillet, cook bacon and onion in the 3 tablespoons margarine until onion is tender but not brown. Add eggs and scramble just until set. Fold mushrooms and cooked eggs into Cheese Sauce. Turn into 12 x 7 x 2-inch baking dish. Combine remaining melted butter, crumbs and paprika; sprinkle atop eggs. Cover; chill until 30 minutes before serving. Bake uncovered in a 350° oven for 30 minutes. Makes 10 servings.Cheese Sauce:2 Tbsp. butter or margarine2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour1/2 tsp. salt1/8 tsp. pepper2 c. milk1 c.
