- fresh Brussels sprouts, halved or 2 10 oz - 2 pt
How to make fancy brussels sprouts:
In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water, parsley, sugar and salt to a boil. Add Brussels sprouts. Cover and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes or until tender; drain. Add water chestnuts and butter; heat through. Yield: 6 servings.DIABETIC EXCHANGES: One serving (prepared with margarine and without salt) equals 2 vegetables and 1/2 fat.
