- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- margarine - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- bread crumbs
- minced onion - 1/4 c
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
How to make escalloped tomatoes:
In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, melt margarine and saut?© onion until tender. Stir in bread crumbs, sugar, salt and pepper. Arrange a layer of tomatoes in 1 1/2-quart casserole. Top with onion and bread crumbs. Repeat layers until all is used, ending with crumbs. Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven at 375° for 35 minutes.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
