Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 1 item
  • vinegar
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • fish steaks - 2 lb
  • round onion, sliced - 1 item
  • piece ginger, minced - 3/4-i item
  • to 2 bell peppers, cut into rings - 1 item
  • can pineapple chunks save liquid - 1 1/2
  • liquid from pineapple - 1 item

How to make escabeche:

Sauce:1/4 c. vinegar1/4 c. sugar1 c. water liquid from pineapple1 Tbsp. cornstarch Lightly salt and pepper fish. Dredge with flour. Brown fish on both sides in hot oil. Set fish aside on a large platter and keep warm. Remove all but 2 tables
