English toffee candy
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 item
- water - 3 Tbsp
- butter not oleo - 1 c
- regular size Hershey bars - 4 item
How to make english toffee candy:
Combine sugar, butter and water. Cook to 300°, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Pour into greased 9 x 9-inch pan. Lay 4 Hershey bars on top. Spread lightly when melted. Sprinkle pecans on top; break into pieces when hard. This freezes well.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Candy.
