English toffee candy



  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 item
  • water - 3 Tbsp
  • butter not oleo - 1 c
  • regular size Hershey bars - 4 item

How to make english toffee candy:

Combine sugar, butter and water. Cook to 300°, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Pour into greased 9 x 9-inch pan. Lay 4 Hershey bars on top. Spread lightly when melted. Sprinkle pecans on top; break into pieces when hard. This freezes well.
