English toffee
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- water - 3 Tbsp
- nuts - 3/4 c
- butter or oleo - 1 c
- Hershey bars - 3 item
How to make english toffee:
Place first 4 ingredients in pan. Cook until brown (about the color of Heath bar filling), about 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Pour into buttered round cake pan.Lay Hershey bars across top of hot candy. Wait a few minutes and then stir. Sprinkle with nuts. Cool and break into pieces.
