English muffin loaf
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 6 c
- water - 1/2 c
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- cornmeal - 1 item
- yeast - 2 pkg
How to make english muffin loaf:
Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda. Heat liquid to 130°; add to dry mixture. Beat well. Stir in rest of flour. Spoon into 2 loaf pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal. Sprinkle tops with cornmeal. Cover; let rise in warm place for 45 minutes. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately and cool.Great for toasting!
