Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- water
- lard - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chili powder - 1 Tbsp
- ground beef
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 8 oz
- oregano - 1/2 Tbsp
- tomato puree - 1 c
- cumin - 1/2 Tbsp
- large garlic - 1 item
- 8 to 10 tacos - 1 pkg
How to make enchiladas:
Fry garlic and onion in lard until browned. Add flour, tomato puree, water, chili powder, oregano and cumin. Simmer 15 minutes.Brown beef. Place ground beef in taco shells. Pour tomato sauce mixture over taco shells and ground beef. Top with shredded cheese. Bake at 375° until cheese is melted (about 25 minutes).
