Enchiladas
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- grated cheese - 1/2 lb
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- can chili without beans - 1 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- ground chuck - 1 lb
- flour tortillas - 8 item
- red pepper optional - 1 item
- additional chopped onion - 1 item
- can El Paso enchilada sauce optional - 1 item
How to make enchiladas:
Saute onion and ground meat until meat is brown and onions are tender. Add chili and seasonings. On each tortilla, put a small amount of meat mixture, cheese and onion. Roll up and place in baking dish. Pour remaining meat sauce on top, more onion and top with cheese. Bake at 350° until cheese melts or if sauce seems too dry or there is not enough to cover the tortillas, use a can of El Paso enchilada sauce.Recipe categories: Poultry, Meat, High calcium.
