Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • can chopped ripe olives - 1 1/2
  • tortillas corn or flour, spread with butter - 6 item

How to make enchilada pie:

Brown ground beef and onion. Add seasonings and tomato sauce. In a 2-quart casserole, alternate layers of buttered tortillas, meat sauce, olives and cheese.

Add water, cover and bake in 400° oven for 20 minutes. Cut into wedges with sharp knife. Use pie server to remove servings. Serves 6.
