Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 1 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chili powder - 1 Tbsp
- shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- ground beef - 1 lb
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- can chopped ripe olives - 1 1/2
- tortillas corn or flour, spread with butter - 6 item
How to make enchilada pie:
Brown ground beef and onion. Add seasonings and tomato sauce. In a 2-quart casserole, alternate layers of buttered tortillas, meat sauce, olives and cheese.Add water, cover and bake in 400° oven for 20 minutes. Cut into wedges with sharp knife. Use pie server to remove servings. Serves 6.
