Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- egg yolks - 3 item
- cold water - 6 Tbsp
- powdered sugar - 1 item
- whole egg - 1 item
How to make elephant ears:
Beat eggs until very fluffy, about 8 minutes. Beat in water and salt; stir in flour. Knead slightly, until not sticky, but still soft.Divide dough into 12 portions. Roll out each on a floured cloth to 8-inch circle. Heat cooking oil to 375° about 1-inch deep. Fry each circle about 10 to 15 seconds per side. Fry to a golden yellow, remove to paper towel and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Can keep dough up to 5 days in refrigerator. Can make smaller ears. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
