Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 8 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- paprika - 1/3 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Jarlsberg cheese - 1/4 lb
- slices salami 1/8-inch - 10 item
- slices Italian bread 3/4-inch - 8 item
How to make eggs in a cloud:
Toast and butter bread. Preheat oven to 400°. Lightly grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Cut salami in half; arrange, cut side down, around edge of prepared dish. Arrange bread over bottom of dish; place cheese slices on top of bread. Separate eggs, placing each yolk in a shell half; place in egg-carton compartments until ready to use. Place whites in a large bowl of electric mixer; at high speed, beat egg whites with 1/2 teaspoon salt and the mustard until stiff and moist peaks form.Lightly spread egg-white mixture over bread in pan. With back of spoon, make 8 depressions; carefully place 1 yolk in each depression. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper and the paprika. Bake 10 minutes or just until yolks are set.
