Ingredients/Components
- slices bread, buttered on both sides - 8 item
- bacon, fried crisp - 1 lb
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1 c
- eggs - 1 doz
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- large can mushrooms - 1 item
How to make eggs benedict:
Line 9 x 13-inch pan with bread. Cover with bacon and shredded cheese. Beat milk, eggs, salt and pepper together. Add onion and green pepper and fold in mushrooms. Pour over bread, bacon and cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.Bake at 275°, uncovered, for 1 hour. You can use ham or sausage instead of bacon.
