  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • cornstarch
  • water - 2 c
  • soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • chopped green onions - 1/2 c
  • box Rice-A-Roni Oriental style or chicken style - 1 item
  • tin bean sprouts, drained - 1 (16
  • tin sliced water chestnuts - 1 item

How to make egg foo yong:

Sauce:2 Tbsp. cornstarch2 Tbsp. soy sauce2 c. water Prepare Rice-A-Roni according to instructions on box; cool. Beat eggs with soy sauce, salt and pepper. Mix all the ingredients. Fry by dropping 1/2 cupfuls at a time onto hot griddle. Turn once. Fry until golden brown. You may add Fri Chik or other vegetarian meats if you wish to the mixture. It's fun to make the recipe your own. Cook sauce ingredients until thickened.
