Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 6 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- bean sprouts - 2 c
- finely cut onion - 2 Tbsp
- crab, shrimp, tuna or other fish - 1 c
- Beat eggs; add sprouts, onion, salt, pepper and fish
How to make egg foo yong:
Batter can be made ahead. Beat eggs; add sprouts, onion, salt, pepper and fish. Refrigerate, if desired.To serve, beat again. Grease skillet. Cook 6 separate pancakes on both sides until golden brown. Keep them warm. Make sauce ahead of time.Sauce:1 Tbsp. sugar1 Tbsp. cornstarch3 Tbsp. soy sauce1 1/2 c. water Mix together sugar and cornstarch. Add soy sauce and water. When ready to serve, cook mixture until thickened, stir occasionally. Serve hot with hot pancakes.
