Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 3 item
- small can Carnation milk - 1 item
- Pet-Ritz pie shell - 1 item
How to make egg custard pie:
With mixer, mix canned milk, sugar, flour, egg yolks and vanilla together until blended well. Pour mixture into uncooked pie shell. Cook in oven for approximately 1 hour at 325°. Use egg whites to make topping. Mix 3 egg whites with 1/4 cup sugar on high until firm. Put on pie; let brown in oven.This can be a chocolate pie by leaving the vanilla out and adding 2 tablespoons of Hershey's cocoa instead.
