Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • egg yolks - 3 item
  • small can Carnation milk - 1 item
  • Pet-Ritz pie shell - 1 item

How to make egg custard pie:

With mixer, mix canned milk, sugar, flour, egg yolks and vanilla together until blended well. Pour mixture into uncooked pie shell. Cook in oven for approximately 1 hour at 325°. Use egg whites to make topping. Mix 3 egg whites with 1/4 cup sugar on high until firm. Put on pie; let brown in oven.

This can be a chocolate pie by leaving the vanilla out and adding 2 tablespoons of Hershey's cocoa instead.
