Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 16 item
- milk - 1 qt
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- melted butter - 1/4 c
- slices bacon - 4 item
- chipped beef - 1/2 lb
- cans mushrooms, drained - 1 2
How to make egg casserole:
Saute bacon; drain. Place beef, butter and mushrooms in skillet; saute slightly. Sprinkle with flour and pepper. Add the milk; cook until thick. Beat together until creamy the eggs, evaporated milk, salt and melted butter. Alternate layers of eggs and sauce. Bake at 275° for 1 hour.If refrigerated overnight, bake for 1 1/2 hours. May sprinkle with Parmesan or grated Cheddar cheese.
