Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 1 doz
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- oleo
- paprika - 1/8 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- 4 oz - 1 c
- chopped ham - 1 c
- bread crumbs
- chopped green onions - 1/4 c
- can sliced mushrooms, drained - 1 oz
- melted oleo or butter - 3 Tbsp
How to make egg casserole:
Cheese Sauce:2 Tbsp. oleo2 1/2 Tbsp. flour2 c. milk1/2 tsp. salt1/8 tsp. pepper1 c. (4 oz.) shredded cheese Saute ham and green onions in oleo until onions are tender. Add beaten eggs. Cook over medium heat until mixture forms soft curds. Stir in mushrooms and cheese sauce. Spoon into greased baking dish. Combine bread crumbs and melted butter; spread over mixture. Chill overnight. Bake the next morning at 350° for 30 minutes.Cheese Sauce: Melt butter over low heat; blend in flour and cook 1 minute. Gradually add milk and cook over medium heat until thickened. Add cheese; stir until all has melted.
