Egg and cheese casserole
Ingredients/Components
- white bread, cubed - 4 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 3 c
- minced chives to taste - 1 item
- milk - 2 c
- melted margarine - 1/4 c
- eggs 4 can be 1 box Egg Beaters - 9 item
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 2 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
How to make egg and cheese casserole:
Mix milk, margarine, eggs, flour, mustard, salt and pepper in blender, or beat thoroughly. In an 8 x 8 x 2-inch greased pan, layer 2 cups bread cubes, 1 1/2 cups cheese and a sprinkle of chives. Repeat this layering. Pour egg mixture over all and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350° for approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Serves 5 to 6.To serve 8 to 10, increase recipe 1 1/2 times and put mixture in a 9 x 12-inch pan or dish.
