  • baking powder
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • diced orange sections - 1 c
  • sugar - 2 c
  • butter room temperature
  • eggs - 5 item
  • orange juice
  • slivered almonds optional - 1 item

How to make edwards mansion orange muffins:

Mix together all dry ingredients. Add butter, shortening, eggs, milk and orange juice. Mix thoroughly. Spoon batter into greased muffin tins until 2/3 full. Top each muffin with an orange section and slivered almonds, if desired. Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 3 dozen muffins.
