Ingredients/Components

  • yeast - 1 pkg
  • lukewarm water - 1 c
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • melted shortening - 1/2 c

How to make easy yeast rolls:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine other ingredients. Add yeast and mix well. Let rise until double in bulk (about 1 hour). Knead on floured board. Make desired shape and allow to rise again (about 1 hour). Bake at 375° until brown.
