Ingredients/Components
- yeast - 1 pkg
- lukewarm water - 1 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- melted shortening - 1/2 c
How to make easy yeast rolls:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine other ingredients. Add yeast and mix well. Let rise until double in bulk (about 1 hour). Knead on floured board. Make desired shape and allow to rise again (about 1 hour). Bake at 375° until brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Midwestern u.s..
