Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 to
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 6 Tbsp
- hot water - 1 c
- warm water - 2 Tbsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make easy rolls:
Combine in large bowl first 4 ingredients; stir until melted. Cool until lukewarm. Sprinkle yeast in water; let set 5 to 10 minutes. Stir and add to cooled mixture. Beat egg and add to mixture. Add 2 cups flour; beat well with a spoon. Stir in rest of flour slowly. Put in bowl and store in refrigerator overnight.Next day, roll out on floured board. Cut with biscuit cutter and fold in half. Let rise for 1 hour. Bake at 425° until brown.
