Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1 Tbsp
  • boiling water - 1 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • yeast cakes - 2 item
  • flour 4 or 5 c - 1 qt

How to make easy rolls:

Pour boiling water over shortening; let stand until lukewarm. Dissolve yeast cakes in small amount of water. Add to shortening and boiling water and gradually add the other ingredients.

Remember these do not have to stand before being made up into rolls. Keep balance of dough covered and refrigerated until ready to use.
