Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1 c
- flour
- cocoa - 1 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- margarine - 1 c
- box Duncan Hines yellow butter cake mix - 1 item
- bottle red food coloring - 1 item
How to make easy red velvet cake:
Frosting:3 Tbsp. flour1 c. margarine1 tsp. vanilla1 c. milk1 c. granulated sugar Cake: Mix well first 5 ingredients, then add vinegar and baking soda. Mix well. Pour into pan, greased and floured. Bake at 350°.Frosting: Cook flour and milk over low heat until thick. Cool. Cream margarine, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add to flour/milk mixture. Beat until like whipped cream.
