Ingredients/Components

  • stew beef, cubed - 2 lb
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • paprika - 1/4 tsp
  • oil - 2 tsp
  • small onions, quartered - 4 item
  • small carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces - 4 item
  • small potatoes, halved - 4 item
  • sliced celery - 1 c
  • water - 1 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz

How to make easy oven stew:

Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika in a paper bag. Shake beef pieces (a few at a time) until coated. Mix with oil in 3-quart casserole. Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes at 400°. Stir once. Add vegetables, water and tomato sauce. Mix well.
