Easy dinner rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
- milk, scalded - 2 c
How to make easy dinner rolls:
Combine shortening and sugar. Cream. Scald milk and pour into mixture. Stir to dissolve. Add egg and let cool. Mix salt and yeast in one cup of flour and add to cooled mixture. Then add 3 cups of flour. Set one hour, covered. Beat. Add additional flour (about 1 cup) to make smooth dough. Let rise double in bulk. Put in greased pans (muffin tins, two balls of dough).
