Ingredients/Components
- white sugar - 3 c
- cold water - 1 c
- white Karo syrup - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- egg white, beaten stiff - 1 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- bag coconut - 1/2 item
- mixed candied cherries, pineapple, raisins and walnuts - 2 c
- peanut butter - 1 c
How to make easter egg:
Cook sugar, water, Karo and salt until it forms a soft ball. Don't stir while cooking. Add a little at a time to stiffly beaten egg white. Add vanilla. Beat until it gets a dull color and starts to set.Now hand stir in coconut and fruit. Now add peanut butter with mixer; watch because it sets up fast. Put on wax paper; shape and cool. Cover with chocolate.
