Dutch meat loaf
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- water - 1 c
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- can tomato sauce - 1/2 item
- mustard - 2 Tbsp
- ground beef
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- fresh bread crumbs - 1 c
- minced green pepper - 1/4 c
- brown sugar or molasses - 2 Tbsp
- Sauce:1/2 can tomato sauce
How to make dutch meat loaf:
Sauce:1/2 can tomato sauce2 Tbsp. mustard2 Tbsp. brown sugar or molasses1 c. water2 Tbsp. vinegar Mix first 8 ingredients; form into a loaf. Place in shallow pan and start baking in 350° oven. Combine the sauce ingredients and pour over the meat loaf. Bake for 1 hour, basting at least once. Serve in a bed of cooked noodles. Serves 4 to 6.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Beef.
