Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- shortening - 1/4 c
How to make dumplings:
Blend all dry ingredients. Add enough milk (scant 1 cup) to moisten. Drop by spoon on top of boiling soup. Cook, covered, for 15 minutes. Very good with bean or chicken soup.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Pasta, rice and grains.
