Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- oil
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg, beaten well - 1 item
- slices white bread, toasted and cut into small pieces - 2 item
- no bread pieces - 1 item
How to make dumplings:
Dumplings (Variation):2 Tbsp. oil1 c. flour2 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. sugar1 egg, beaten well1/2 tsp. salt1/2 c. milk no bread pieces Mix with flour and eggs, then knead bread pieces in. Let stand for 10 minutes. Boil water using large pan. Drop dumplings into boiling water or chicken broth. Turn once in awhile.
